The main reason we went to Milan was to see The Last Supper, by Leonardo DaVinci (above). It's a fresco which was all but destroyed in the war but has been partially restored and is an amazing sight. It's much larger than it looks in the picture, about 25 feet wide by 14 feet high. It is found in a building adjacent to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which is shown in the following pictures. We were only in Milan for a day so we booked a city tour which included some very coveted passes to see the fresco. We saw more in a day than most places we went, but it was so worth it! It gave me goosebumps:).
The Scala Opera House
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele which is now a high end shopping mall. Check out the McDonalds or rather the McCafe:).

These soldiers looked ridiculous in their pom pom hats and their funny stances:)
This was a cardinal who Steve commented "looked like a clown". He was like a celebrity:)
These last pic's are of the Milan Cathedral which is the 2nd tallest one in Europe. It was breathtaking, especially on this beautiful day!

This is supposed to Mary and she is over 12 feet high on the uppermost spire. No it's NOT Moroni:). Milan was surprisingly fun for us and we felt like it was totally worth the day!
