Day Four - Lunenburg, Digby & St. John

These first pictures are of an area in Lunenburg called "Blue Rocks". It is a really small cove with a smattering of houses, boats, barns, boathouses and lobster traps. It was so pretty and so serene. 

These next few are views of Lunenburg from a boat we sailed on called The Bluenose II. It is a replica of The Blunose, a schooner which was the one a long time ago.  It was fun, especially cause both Steve and Pat had climbed aboard and taken pictures 27 years ago but had never sailed on it.

Here is one of all four of us in front of our hotel in Lunenburg right after checking out.

After we left Lunenburg, we drove to Digby, a town on the other side of Nova Scotia. There we boarded a ferry (our car and all!) to cross to a town in New Brunswick called St. John. Digby is famous for it's tides because it is on the Bay of Fundy which has the biggest tide in I think North America, maybe the world.  It rises and lowers 55 feet every day so you can see by the next picture if you enlarge it, the boats are half the height of the pier!  

This sign on the street at Digby just cracked us up!  Steve pointed it out at said

 "This attorney is really full of 'crap'!" (so many other possible jokes from this one:).

This is the sunset over the Bay of Fundy during our ferry ride.

This is the city of St. John, New Brunswick, at night, reflecting on the river.
